SQL Server Version of the LEOT released 12/13/04 OCJS has officially released the SQL Server version of the LEOT. This version enables a larger capacity for storing records in the LEOT software compared to the current Access version being used in the application. This version would be useful for bigger agencies requiring an advanced database storage system capable of continuous 24 by 7 stable operations. The SQL Server version of the LEOT requires a server running Microsoft Windows Server 2000 or 2003, Microsoft SQL Server 2000, and a system admin experienced with administering SQL Server. If you are interested in using the SQL Version, please contact Nick Johnson at johnson@ocjs.ohio.gov or at (614) 644-8261. Please revisit this page often for updates on the status of this project. |
“The LEOT has proven to be
a powerful and valuable records management system for the Newark
Division of Police. Serving over 45,000 citizens, our department
averages 300 calls for service and 100 offense reports each day. We
have 104 staff members with access to the LEOT software over a large
network which is used 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. With the LEOT’s
SQL database version, we are able to store a significant amount of data
while still maintaining excellent performance. To-date we have over 2
GB of data stored in the LEOT SQL database. Not only has the LEOT
proven its worth as a records management system, OCJS has also provided
excellent support. I recommend this system to any Ohio law enforcement
agency.” Bob Carson Newark Police Department |
